Day 1: Cusco –
Huaran – Cancha Cancha (L) (D)
We leave Cusco by bus,
following the route of the Sacred Valley to the district
of Huaran (2850 m.a.s.l) from where we will begin our
journey, observing several types of crops and fruit trees.
After a two-hour walk to Somacpampa, we will stop for
a snack, continuing the uphill excursion to the town of
Cancha Cancha (3900 m.a.s.l). During this two-hour walk
we will observe the different species of flora and beautiful
waterfalls. We will setup our first camp here.
Day 2: Cancha Cancha
– Queñococha (B) (L) (D)
Very early in the morning we will depart for Queñococha
observing the two beautiful lagoons of the town of Acopata,
followed by a two-hour climb to the highest part of the
Spur of Pachaqutec located 4600 m.a.s.l. Afterwards we
will descend the Candarian spur viewing the Candarian
lagoon and much further down we will continue our journey
to Qollalay, our resting spot. Continuing towards Queñococha
we cross the village of Quishuarani, a small village engaged
in agriculture and from there we begin our climb to QueñoCocha
(4100 m.a.s.l.), site of our second camp.
Day 3: Queñococha
– Lares (B) (L)
Departing from the aforementioned lagoon we continue on
our journey towards the thermal baths of Lares, climbing
up the Culcani Spur, from where we may view the two most
beautiful lagoons existing on this course, the Wiki Cocha
and Azul Cocha lagoons and opposite the Qolquechacana
Snowpeak and the Awayman waterfall. From here we descend
to the village of Cuncani, where Trout fishing is possible.
After a four-hour trek we arrive at the thermal baths
of Lares to eat a snack and enjoy soothing baths in its
hot waters, after which we will begin our four our journey
back to the Ollantaytambo. In the afternoon train to aguas
calientes
Day 04.- Machu-Picchu

The day starts with an early morning rise to transfer
to Cusco Train Station for a three hour train journey
to the famous Inca Citadel of Machu Picchu, also known
as "The Lost City of the Incas", one of the
best known examples of
surviving Inca architecture. Arrive at Aguas Calientes
Station followed by a 30-minute bus drive, climbing 6km
of winding road, to the marvellous Citadel. Upon arrival,
you will participate in a guided tour of the Citadel,
visiting the Main Plaza, the Circular Tower, the Sacred
Sun Dial (the most important preserved Intihuatana), the
Royal Quarters, the Temple of the Three Windows and various
burial grounds. After the tour you'll have time to stroll
around the Archaeological Site at your leisure. In the
afternoon return to Cusco. Overnight in your selected
hotel in Cusco. :
